Austin Langenstein - Driver
Concord, NC
Third generation race car driver Austin Langenstein enters his 2009 racing season with renewed confidence.
A new look for his race car, a
new car number and a brand new major sponsor in
FIREFOLD.Com and FIREFOLD Technologies makes for an
exciting recipe for success.
Many new major associate marketing partners along with Austin’s associate partners from the past have also signed on to assist Austin as his racing career progresses into the future.
"Words cannot describe how pleased I am to have this group of marketing partners assembled along with many racing product companies to have come on board to go racing with us this season," Austin stated. "To run for the National Championship takes a large commitment not only for my racing team but for these fine folks as well."
Austin himself has made a commitment to apply himself both on and off of the race track as well with goals to become a champion and a future full time race car driver.
During the off season Austin trimmed down 50 pounds off of his body and started a strict training program and a healthy diet and is in the gym training on strength and conditioning 3 hours a day 7 days a week.
Along with Austin’s physical training, he is also working hard and hand in hand with world renowned sports therapist Dr. Jacques Dallaire and his Performance Prime Group. Dr. Dallaire has worked with well over 650 high performance racers from 40 different countries and just about every form of racing on the planet. His list of past clients is untouchable. “Austin is a dedicated young man who is putting his dream of becoming a professional racing driver into action every day.
His work ethic and his commitment are unquestioned and this is unusual for a driver of his young age” adds Dr. Dallaire. “I believe he has the skills and temperament to make it big in Motorsports someday soon and I’d encourage race teams to keep their eyes on this young charger. This is a name you will be seeing a lot of down the road”, noted Dr. Dallaire.
Austin
started racing at age 8 in quarter midget
competition and quickly moved thru the ranks into
go-karts and then onto the 600 Racing INEX Young Gun
Bandolero where he now races.
While being a home schooled student Austin maintains an A+ average in academics and thus allows him to adjust his daily schedule with home schooling and physical training.
This season Austin plans to race for the Bandolero young gun National Championship with races planned at the Lowes Motor Speedway for the annual Summer Shoot-out Series and select races at Concord Motorsports Park, Bowman Gray. Also plans are to race in September at the Orange County Speedway, the Spooktacular 100 and the Winter Heat Series events as well.
A trip or two too the Atlanta Motor Speedway in preparation for the Nationals is also on the slate.
If points are needed we will make any “road trip” that is possible to win the overall National Title.
As the season progresses Austin will also be testing and racing a verity of different race cars on different circuits. Legend cars, a scheduled test with a top flight Ford focus midget team, some ASA style late model events and going back to his father’s racing roots a few races planned in a top flight DIRT 358 small block at tracks and dates to be announced at a later date.
A rather large commitment for
this 15 year old. I want to develop Austin to a
various style of race cars this summer to hone his
skills and to look at the many different directions
that may present themselves down the road, quoted
Charlie Langenstein, Austin’s dad.
"Austin also would like to key on a lot of “open wheel” opportunities as well. I love road course racing as well and the challenge that is presented there. I want to take a look at some of the road racing schools that are out there and possibly do some of that in the near future as well," Austin added.
"Dad always told me as I was growing up that you can walk up to the speed shop truck at the race track and purchase a part needed for the car to make it go faster, but you can never substitute those things for “lap time” on the race track. Laps on the race track are what I am planning on this season," noted Austin.
"As for the future if we do our part and stay focused and committed and not side track from our plan I feel that we will have a lot of opportunities in motorsports down the road. Plus I can never forget that I could not do it without the group of people that we have assembled behind me, without them none of this would be possible. I am very thankful for that," Austin concluded.
"The 2009 racing season looks to be a lot of fun and hard work if we stay the course. I look forward to this challenge," Austin sums up.

Also look at Austin’s schedule for all of the charity events and visits to the many children hospitals in the North Carolina region as he works hand in hand with many racing charities and foundations with the main focus to put some smiles on the children’s faces and to share his experiences and good fortune with many children that are less fortunate.
