NCTA Maintenance Council 2010 Convention and Seminar

The 2010 NCTA Maintenance Council Convention and Seminar is scheduled for October 1-3 at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort, 275 Waynick Boulevard in Wrightsville Beach, NC.

This year’s convention includes seminars, meetings and displays to give you timely and useful maintenance information and includes time to have fun and get better acquainted with industry personnel and suppliers.

Our program will begin on Friday afternoon with our Annual Fleet Talk Seminar and Sponsoring Member Reception and Expo.

The topic of our Fleet Talk Seminar will be Change Ahead - CSA 2010 and include discussions on the new FMCSA Regulations and strategies to help manage the transition to the new records and regulatory systems.

After the seminar, our Sponsoring Members Reception and Expo will provide an opportunity to meet many of our suppliers and learn more about the products and services they offer.

On Saturday, members can enjoy golf, an array of Wilmington area activities or kick back and relax on the beach.

We have made arrangements for tickets to some of the family attractions around the Wilmington area including USS Wilmington Battle Ship, a day of fun at Jungle Rapids or a visit to the Cape Fear Museum in Wilmington.

We have also arranged for a surfing demonstration on the beach in front of the hotel for Saturday morning.

There will be an Open Board Meeting on Saturday afternoon to begin planning for 2011.

Saturday evening will feature a seafood boil served by James Palmer with the help of Maintenance Council officers and board members.

We are also planning a scavenger hunt with prizes for the first and second place teams.

And, we will have our annual Ice Cream Hospitality in the Maintenance Council Hospitality Room.

On Sunday morning we will have our annual Officers Installation Breakfast.

Cost for the entire weekend is only $475.00 per couple ($350.00 single) This includes rooms, receptions, meals…everything except the sunscreen and replacement golf balls. For those who want to attend the Friday programs and stay only Friday night, the cost is $195.00 (Seminar and Reception only is $45.00).
