I wish I'd Thought of That II - 21st Century Ideas from Phillips

Phillips Industries has introduced two new products that make vehicle operation and maintenance easier.

The first is i-BOX™, a larger, more efficient trailer nosebox to handle the expanding electronic requirements of today’s trailers.

The i-BOX™, short for “Information Box,” was developed by Phillips Industries at the request of a major U.S. trucking fleet. The fleet found  they needed more room for additional wiring required by added trailer electronics such as trailer tracking and weigh systems that were not part of trailers 10 years ago.

Phillips took this idea and designed a nosebox with a third more working room inside the box that alleviates wire pinching and pull-out,a growing problem in standard noseboxes.

While Phillips was expanding the size of the nosebox, they took the opportunity to make other time-saving and money-saving improvements such as:

· A hinged lid that houses a weather-proof gasket which protects the interior against corrosion and extreme weather

· Circuit breakers housed in the i-BOX™ which can be changed in a matter of seconds

· Includes Phillips 7-way QCS™2 Quick Connect Socket allowing for easy replacement when required.

The i-BOX can also house Phillips’ award-winning PERMALOGIC™ Trailer Dome Lamp Controller to automatically control trailer dome lamps. And, the i-BOX™ has room for flash memory to store important trailer schematics, bills of material, maintenance and other important documents.

Go to Savvy Pro Cool Stuff and click on i-BOX to learn more.

The second product, QWIK-SNAP is a new 3-hose holder for commercial truck trailer combinations.

The QWIK-SNAP™ quickly secures three air hoses in place with a single closing action that can be easily secured with a gloved hand.   No more fumbling with corroded washers and nuts; the QWIK-SNAP™ simply snaps shut easily, every time.

The QWIK-SNAP™ holder is made from non-corrosive durable nylon which will hold up in extreme weather and is impact resistant.  The positive lock stays connected at over 80 lbs. of pull force.

The new Phillips QWIK-SNAP™ 3-Hose Holder (Part number 17-153) is made for commercial truck operators to reduce time, save money, and eliminate the frustration of the everyday routine of changing hoses.  The holder adjusts to accommodate one 1/2” and two 3/8” hoses and can be purchased through your authorized Phillips dealer.
