B.R.A.K.E.S.
B.R.A.K.E.S., which stands for Be
Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe, is a
non-profit organization founded by NHRA
Top Fuel drag racer Doug Herbert in
memory of his two sons, Jon and James,
who were killed in a car accident. The
goal of B.R.A.K.E.S. is to prevent
injuries and save lives by training and
educating teenage drivers and their
parents about the importance of safe and
responsible driving.
Inexperience is a leading cause of teen
auto accidents and the B.R.A.K.E.S.
organization’s aim is to provide
behind-the-wheel training for teens
through its free “Teen Pro-Active
Driving School” which is designed to
provide young drivers with the dynamic
experience of handling a vehicle in
adverse driving conditions, all in a
controlled environment. In each
four-hour session expert instructors
educate students on the proper way to
handle skids, panic stops, accident
avoidance and driving with distractions.

more about the
B.R.A.K.E.S. mission and how you can

5 Ways to Keep Your Truck Out of the
Shop - A
Service Manager Speaks
Fleets do not like to have their
maintenance programs scrutinized by a
dealer, especially since the dealer is
believed to be looking for repair work
and not geared for preventative
maintenance. But the observations by a
Dealer Service Manager can help many
users save on the road aggravation and
expense.

LEVEL 1 training with LEVEL 3 results...
Electrical Diagnostics can be Simple! -
Sullivan
Training Systems
Sullivan
Training Systems has revised their
primary electrical training class.
Essential Electrical Diagnostics is a
class very similar in content to the
original Fundamental Electrical
Troubleshooting - but now there's a more
specific focus on how the entire
diagnostic process works. How do the new
skills work in the shop? When do you
trust yourself over "the computer"? How
do you organize the diagnostic process?
How do you manage the repair from start
to finish? This class, in its original
format, has been taught to over 4000
mechanics across the world.

FET
Shopbook is also revised, with
200 pages now. More information on
diagnostic methods, better examples of
troubleshooting techniques, and still
small enough to fit in a top box. It's
filled with practical, hands-on lessons
that make learning and understanding
electricity easy. Learn how relays work,
what multiplexing is and how to use your
digital meter like a pro. All techs need
help with electricity - this book is
written for them.

training from Sullivan Training Systems,
